The Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion  (EDIP), implemented by CARANA Corporation, is a three-year USAID funded project devoted to the development of all Palestinian economic sectors that foster rapid economic growth and employment opportunities     
CARANA Corporation is a leading provider of global economic development services to governments, private businesses, individuals, and international donor agencies. CARANA designs and implements results-oriented strategies for competing in the global economy, primarily for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). For more than 21 years, USAID has entrusted CARANA with assignments to assist them in carrying out their critical missions of fostering peace, economic prosperity, and individual freedoms. CARANA Corporation has had a presence in the Middle East and North Africa since 1997. Its work in this region has ranged from enterprise development, to agribusiness, to monitoring and evaluation services.

EDIP started its operations in October, 2008 and will continue until September 2011. EDIP has the capacity to assist institutional development by providing technical assistance, supporting the development of market linkages, encouraging policy reforms and accessing grant funding for individual firms.
EDIP’s mission is to create partnerships with successful Palestinian private sector businesses that can quickly advance business growth by benefiting from technology transfers, access to market linkages and access to equity capital.
